MRT is a biofeedback system. When testing a muscle, such as the arm, it stays strong when the body’s energetic field is “happy and comfortable”.
However, when you put something in your hand that your body doesn’t like, or that it disagrees with, the arm will go weak. This is because the energy of the substance is actually disrupting your energetic field, or in other words, making your body “unhappy or uncomfortable”.
HISTORY AND SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION:
Kinesiology, also referred to as Muscle Response Testing (MRT), was developed in 1964 by Dr. George Goodheart, a chiropractor, to diagnose or read certain blockages in the body. In his practice he learned about a patient’s condition by using isolated movement of various muscles. This made it possible to test the strength of an individual muscle or muscle group without the help of other muscles.Dr. Goodheart, after many experiments, concluded that structural imbalance causes disorganization of the entire body, which results in disorders of the glands, organs and central nervous system.
Kinesiology holds that when the body is disorganized, the structural balance or electrical force is not functioning normally. When this happens, the central nervous system sends out a signal that is directed connection with the brain), via a network of sensory and motor nerve cells. Under the command of the brain, they are capable of conducting messages back and forth with the brain at all times. This is the electrical to every cell of the body (because of each cell’s direct energy –the life force through these nerve cells, which are energy channels. This energy has been called different names by different people. In Chinese it is called “Chi”; in English “life force” or “vital energy”. I simply refer to it as energy.
Much of the groundwork of Kinesiology or MRT is based upon Chinese acupuncture philosophy. MRT integrates the philosophies of anatomy, physiology and acupuncture.
As previously stated, Chi circulates along acupuncture pathways or energy channels in the human body referred to as meridians. As we know, according to the Chinese, the free flow of energy is necessary for the normal functioning of the body. When the flow of energy gets blocked, illness occurs. The messages to and from the brain also pass through this energy channel. Therefore, the energy and the messages travel from cell to cell very quickly.
MRT utilizes the electromagnetic aspect of healing, explaining the basic importance of maintaining balanced energetic health through the introduction of the Chi energy that circulates throughout the body.
Kinesiology taps into your system 0of flowing energy, monitors its activity, accesses vital information, and retrieves it. It incorporates practical aspects of acupuncture theory as an early warning response system for discovering energetic blockages in the body. Familiarization with the different pathways of body energy helps further identify the symptoms that signal deep energetic imbalances. In the Chinese system of acupuncture, every reflex point on your body contains electrical potential. Through stimulation of acupuncture points, the treatment realigns the energy in the body.
Dr. Beardall’s Clinical Kinesiology method also relies on the extremely precise energy connection between mind and body. Your body has been preprogrammed to sustain life. Each cell, body part, organ and energy system is genetically encoded to work for continued survival of the organism. Needed information lies just below the surface for recall and, specifically, to monitor the body. If the system records an imbalance, you’re notified immediately – the body-mind works together to create a symptom.
